Hi everyone! First of all, I am SO glad to find a community of people who understand!!! Especially lately, I have been feeling frustrated about not feeling "seen" or understood.
I am currently living with my fiancé in Georgia (US), teaching high school English, and walking a path to deepen my understanding of myself and how I fit into the world as an HSP/INFJ. Also trying to figure out if the chapter of my life as a classroom teacher is coming to an end.
Favorite books? Only 3? Whew! The Great Alone by Kristin Hannah, Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn, and Les Miserables by Victor Hugo.
Hello to everyone, I am English by birth but living in Spain as of thirty years. I could say that my own books were amongst my favourite books but there are two books in particular that have stayed ingrained in my mind ever since I read them. One was The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe, wow! How I loved that one as a child. I was in love with the idea of other lands! In teenage years it was The Lord of the Rings that I fell in love with, a truly beautiful piece of writing. Both have influenced my character traits I know. The Harry Potter series have been my adult return to the beautiful world of grand writing of other lands! I sit on the sidelines of life, not working at all. My job has become my partner and acting the roles that he requires me to play. Rapunzel, Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty.
Menopause has seen this Sleeping Beauty wake from what seems like a quarter of a century hibernation and wonder how this has happened! I am trying to find the way to my future, wherever that may lie!
Well, I adopted this little gal 9 years ago from a local animal shelter. I wondered for years what kinds of breeds were in her genetic background. Last month, she finally had her doggy-DNA test…
She is 1/3 chihuahua, about 1/5 Australian Cattle dog, 2/5 guard dog breeds like Rottweiler, Pitbull; and mini poodle and Pekingese. It was fun finding out her ancestry!

Hello! I'm Axelle, a 27y.o. French woman. Currently working in a shop but really aiming to be an English audiovisual translator. Love watching shows on my laptop and listening to music from around the world. Not a big reader but On The Road by Jack Kerouac and Les Misérables by Victor Hugo are my two favorite books. More generally, I appreciate the works from the Beat Generation. Dreaming of going on a tour of American places recounting the history of African-American music (New Orleans especially) and visiting Melbourne.
Hello, I'm from Malaysia, 21 years old and currently pursuing degree in financial management and banking. tbh I don't read book, but maybe a comic or a manga yes I'm into it hehehe :''))) am INFJ with 91% introvert, nice to meet you all >.< >.<
Hi! I live in Georgia, US, the peach state where the weather is fantastic but peaches are rarely very good. 🍑🤣 I’m a writer, a certified coach & AFT practitioner, and a mom of 3 kids. I recently wrote a book for highly sensitive people & empaths. My favorite books are The Body Keeps the Score, The Lonesome Gods, & The Boy, the Mole, the Fox, & the Horse. That was hard to narrow down. 😅📚 Nice to meet you all. 🤗
i'm an infj artist living in obscurity in the pacific northwest wonderland, my name's bren, but i've been known online for many years now as ghost, perhaps due to my 'friendlyghost' personality, or my interest in photographing old cemeteries & trees..
for over 20 years i've hosted gumbyland, a site devoted to vintage kids who love & collect gumby <3
there's also an elaborate gallery of all my art & installations with music for anyone interested (sorry phones won't play the sound, only laptops/pcs)
i have 2 blogs where i post regularly, the lost & found toy blog is in its 10th year of daily posts, & the ghost blog where i ruminate over all things dark & psychological.. (all are welcome to visit ~ links are in my profile)
i use to run a support forum years ago called psychconnection..
i'm a nature lover & mother of cats, into rpg gaming & vintage books..
my favorite books are alice in wonderland, anything tolkien or poe..

@ghost I never feel understood nor do I feel like I fit in😆
@ghost Same on the not being understood! I think the only peace that comes is with understanding that almost no one understands, but the few who do become enough. This seems like a nice place to find those who do. ☺️
I recently read Ben Hur and loved it! Lewis has been a fave since I was a wee one. I'll have to check out Beyond Pardon, since I love the rest of your list. =)
Hi Audrey, well met! I see you have mentioned the Narnia series of books. I was seven years old when I read The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. I adored tales of other lands. They so influenced me along with documentaries, that I set off travelling to find other lands. I have been in Niger, just across your northern border and have enjoyed travel in Africa. My mission in life is Africa. I write of human psychology and human philosophy amongst many other things. All human related though and thinking of them all being in tune with mother nature!! My one contact in the world at this moment is a man from Kano. He came travelling to the town in Spain where I am living. He helped me find my sense of self worth again. It was HE that encouraged me to write my book. HE believes in me where none of those known to me do! THE WHOLE WORLD IS AFRICA Audrey, if only we could ALL understand that. Well met my friend!
Are your fur babies kitties, puppies, bunnies, something else? My fur baby, Leia, has been a literal lifesaver to me. She's almost 4, and she is a feisty princess!

@amiehvaughan I have a Australian Shepherd named Thunder. Yes he’s loud about everything…eating, cleaning himself, and he loves to play with plastic jugs for some reason. I also have two cat, Blue and Lucy. Lucy was my neighbors cat, but she adopted us. I felt awful about it, but they were just happy that she was happy as she hated their dogs. Blue ran up my husband’s leg on the side of the road, someone dropped him off and left him😠, but him and Thunder are best buds and twins even 😂
Hi. I live in the desert Southwest with my fur babies, Freckles and Chub-chub. I’m a nature lover, bird watcher, critter “caretaker”. I enjoy reading, learning, researching. I Have had many ( over 3 decades!) difficulties with destructive, hateful people within my family of origin; and ongoing difficulties with my ex-spouse. I am the only INFJ in my family. One niece is an ENFP. My extended family is lacking NF’s! 😉
Hi! I am 30 and living in Flint MI. I love watching documentaries, listening to music and powerlifting. My life has been forever changed when I started doing some research into my INFJ personality. It really helped me through my divorce and helped me to really feel comfortable in my own skin. I would love to connect with others that see the world in a similar way as me. I have always felt like a bit of an outsider.

@hwright05 Nice to meet you. I’ve always felt like an outsider and have had a very difficult time with meeting people. That’s great that you’re into powerlifting. I wish I was more disciplined to go to the gym, but lately I’m too tired to go in the morning. What’s your secret on staying motivated?
@Teresa I workout with one of my closest friends so it helps a lot that it is just as much a fun hangout time as it is a workout! Plus I have a trainer that keeps me in line haha
Hi! I can relate too. I've always felt like the connection was off with the people around me and didn't understand why. Even to this day, I feel like I've never met someone with whom I've fully 'clicked' and that would accept and understand me . It feels like I always owe an apology for being the way I am. I feel a bit lonely sometimes even around my family... Hoping to build a connection with people I don't have to explain myself to. Hozier is my favorite singer and the second item on my bucket list is going on a tour of the United States recounting the history of African-American music.
I live in the southeast US currently, but have lived in several places throughout the US. I work for a large bank in our small business diverse customer segments strategy team. My job is to help my company better serve and support minority and women owned businesses. I love the mission and purpose of my work, but am very often emotionally exhausted from all the extroverting this requires.
I don’t think I could choose just three favorites for books, but here are a few that really impacted my life. I used to love fiction and the ability to be in someone else’s shoes, but have now been drawn more to non fiction.
- The Power of Now, Eckhart Tolle
- Conversations with God, Neale Donald Walsh
- The Artist’s Way, Julia Cameron
These books all have helped me process those “big picture” questions, helped me get in touch with my spirit and helped me get out of dark places when my idealized vision of how things could be just don’t match what I see in the world.
Hello! I’m Teresa and I’m a nurse. I love spending time in nature and with my animals to help decompress from the day. I’m still learning more about being an INFJ but what I know now would have really helped me when I was younger. Everything that I have learned has been most of my experiences throughout life. It’s so nice to meet others who are on this ride!

I forgot my three favorite books :) I really like to read a lot of fantasy and educatonal/spiritual topics so it’s hard to really narrow it down but here goes:
Outlander by Diana Gabaldon
Charlotte’s Web by E. B. White (fav as a kid)
The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien
I’m open to any recommendations for a good book, so please let know!
Well hi guys, I'm Rowan, mother, wife, crazy person (no cats needed!), 53, I live on the west coast of Scotland, in Robert Burns Country, Ayrshire. I'm an underachiever, I work in a supermarket part time and sing in 2 choirs, a Gospel and Soul hair and a Show Choir at same venue, a place called Centrestage, Kilmarnock (Ayrshire Arts Academy, look it up, its awesome!!) My favourite 3 books are,
The Help by Kathryn Stockett
How to be a girl by Caitlin Moran
Moranthology by same above author.
I've read loads of books but can never remember them, I prefer non fiction. I'm jnto intuitive stuff, crystals and spooky stuff and psychology in a big way! So, yeah,hi!
Hiya! I'm Amie, and I'm 46. I'm a freelance copy editor and proofreader, mostly in academic Biblical studies and spiritual formation. I love travel, reading, and ballroom dance (which I just started last year). My three favourite books feels like an impossible question to answer... but I'll say A Wrinkle in Time (Madelein L'Engle), The Lord of the Rings (Tolkien), and The Dark Is Rising series (Susan Cooper), I guess.
I'm 23 , an Indian student completing her Masters . I love reading , writing and living with my loved ones . Ideas , psychology , positive vibes and inhaling the nature , life keeps me going .
With endurance , courage and gentleness I hope to manifest into experience even more lovely events in Life . I feel more fulfilled realising the meaning of life , it's misery and bliss , to work towards my purpose and positively impact life of others .
3 favourite books : " The Forty Rules of Love - Elif Shafak " , "When only Love Remains" and "Immortals of Meluha "
Hi Simran Rathi, I have already replied to another of your comments. I can FEEL you. Seeing the Disney cartoon film of Mowgli had me fall in love with exotic animals. I had a character named Pashana Bedi in one of my childrens programmes called The Herbs. How I loved Pashana who was an Indian fakir, a snake charmer. How they influenced me. The colours of India I believe are unsurpassable. The richness of all things beautiful can be found in wealth all over India.
I appreciate so much the ethics of living, actually being conscious of what is living. Trying to understand ones own self and be able to temper ones own behaviour accordingly. Self-control and self-understanding are so very important to a peaceable existance. Elephants, oh I could spend my life with elephants. I have had the pleasure of visiting nearby Sri Lanka and spending a day with elephants. I bled deep inside at parting from these new friends that I had made so quickly. There is so much human warmth in the Asian, Arab and African peoples.
That is what I feel we are lacking in our modern westernized nations. It is difficult to get close to others, we have become closed circles. We live with so much fear in our midst that we hardly dare to take a chance on an unknown person. Particularly if they be male and you, female. Frightening times for women indeed!
I too wish to help others understand how to live life in a more positive and productive way and share all that I know for the benefit of the greater good, not just going round and round in circles by myself!! Well met Simran.

Hi everyone.
My name's Audrey. I'm from Nigeria.
I work for a construction firm in administration.
I've had great interest in psychology and understanding people before I learnt about MBTI and being an INFJ.
I love deep, soulful conversations, ambient music, meditation, and literary works of fiction.
My three favorite books are:
Ben Hur by Lew Wallace
The Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis (know it's a series but I'll just put it as one here)
Beyond Pardon by Bertha M. Clay
Here’s Chub-chub
Here’s Freckles.
Here’s some better pics
